Some figure it out, but most do not. It only takes a few days and you're totally used to it. You ignore the 2 seconds columns and learn to read the hour and minute columns very quickly."

"Let me add that I've got my BCD clock on my desk at work, and find it rather mesmerizing. I keep looking up and seeing assorted patterns - mostly with left-right symmetry (such as 1:24:21), but others with rotational symmetry, parallel diagonal lines, and so on. Once past 1:00pm each day, a left-right symmetrical pattern is guaranteed every minute (x:yz:yx), so there's always something nearby.

"I find myself wasting time by glancing at the clock, seeing something interesting about to come up, and waiting for it for a few seconds. Aargh. I may have to bring it home to avoid wasting those accumulated seconds, but of course all my fellow geeks at work love it, whereas my wife doesn't understand it at all."

This is set up at my work bench. Every person that comes up to me asks me about the clock. Frustrating at times, because it takes up my time, but very well worth it to see the looks on people's faces when you explain it to them. "Geek" is written all over their face. LOVE IT!

Although it appears to be some sort of new firmware glitch, their support person had a work-around for me that completely solved the issue even before the ink on my email to them was dry. Thirty minutes and a few emails later, they have gained a loyal customer, a new product advocate and saved you the hassle of having to deal with a return.Treat them nice and sell lots of their stuff... they deserve it.
